I saw this dresser (along with a bed frame) at a yard sale and fell in love with it! Originally it was covered in tan contact paper…not so attractive. I stripped off the paper, sanded it, painted it white, then carefully sanded it again to emphasize the beautiful details in the wood and give it an antique finish. Lastly, a latex glaze was added for shine and to protect the finish. I also added slate tile to the top of the dresser which is a great contrast against the feminine feel the pieces have. The final product was a very beautiful, eclectic bedroom suite that my mother loves!
